Virgin Money's quest to build a better bank is underway with the build of the Virgin Money Digital Bank (VMDB). We're looking for dynamic people that have the ambition to shape the business they will one day be responsible for running.
This start-up business will need to be designed from the top down and built from the bottom up; as such the Cloud Data Analyst will be a critical role in the analysis, profiling and improving data quality as well as ensuring high quality of data processing work for VMDB's cloud data platform. The successful applicant will also work closely with the wider VMDB technology team to ensure alignment of requirements and the delivery of a world class cloud data platform environment for the benefit of Virgin Money.
The successful applicant will have responsibility for analyzing and profiling key business data, developing transformations and mappings for data processing, testing results of data processing pipelines and developing dashboards to generate data profile and quality reports. You'll design a framework for data profiling and data quality management in VMDB with data architects and business stakeholders. With your analytical skills, you'll analyse core business data and create data quality reports and work with stakeholders to establish, document and present data classification, security and lifecycle requirements. We'll look to you to develop data mapping documentation to capture end to end data transformation requirements to be used by data engineers and build process pipelines.
To be brilliant, you'll ideally be experienced in: analyzing and profiling business data in a large relational database for an enterprise using SQL; creating data profile reports. creating data maps between source and destination databases; documenting and testing plans associated with data integration/processing pipeline development; documenting data security, encryption, access control policies; working with RDMS databases (e.g. PostgreSQL or SQL Server). It would be advantageous if you have experience in using industry standard data quality tools such as Talend, and in working in a data quality governance programme and Big Data clusters.

Salary: From £32,000 to £43,000 per annum plus amazing benefits
