Job Description:

Are you an experienced Commercial Insurance professional with knowledge covering multiple classes of cover, my client has a role for you based in their Ipswich office.

My client are a local broker with offices in Norfolk and Suffolk, they are well established and have a good bank of loyal clients, as such they are looking for either an experienced Account Handler to join them who is ready to make the move to Executive level or an existing experienced Executive who can come in and hit the ground running.

The Role

You will generate profitable new business, maintain and expand existing client relationships in terms of quality and value.

You will achieve and exceed personal sales targets through new business and client development activity.

You will understand my clients business so that you can efficiently broke insurance to their customers whilst remaining consistent with the company's philosophies and within FCA requirements.

You will work closely with Insurers and my client's staff to ensure excellent customer services, pricing and liaison.

You will work to a high ethical standard at all times.

Required skills

You will possess excellent relationship skills in order to retain and develop existing key client accounts.

You will maintain great attention to detail to ensure that quality standards and client service levels are at the highest possible level.

Competencies

You will have a good understanding of risk management concepts and when these are useful to clients

You will have the ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers and associates

You will identify opportunities for business development

You will support and mentor junior members of staff to assist with their development and performance

You will effectively manage a pipeline of prospects to meet short, medium and long-term financial goals

You will be professional and tactful regarding negotiation on order to achieve objectives

You will demonstrated the ability to instil confidence in clients so that the client looks to my clients as more than an Insurance Broker, but as a partner in their business

You will hold the ability to co-ordinate the production of presentations material which clearly explains the necessary details to both client and insurer

You will be personally accountable for revenue commitments, maintain up to date information on current performance (booked revenue and pipeline value)

You will be knowledgeable regarding FCA compliance and regulation

You will be knowledgeable regarding Principles, Practices and Legalities of all major classes of General Insurance
