Benefits: 20 days' holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays; AE Pension Atalian Servest's Procurement team is seeking an ambitious individual to join us; to support the Head of Group Procurement, carrying out global tenders to achieve commercial value for the business. One of the spend categories that requires negotiating is the mechanical and electrical spend categories, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and lifts. It is therefore preferred that you have experience from the mechanical and electrical spend category. You will also provide analytical support in terms of spend categorisation, and internal and external market analysis. You will be an accomplished negotiator, highly motivated, and skilled at stakeholder management, utilising cross-functional teams of key stakeholders and internal experts to ensure operational and customer needs are satisfied in the tender result. Communication is key within this role, to build strong and productive working relationships, ensuring that Atalian Servest is the customer of choice in terms of the supply base. Main responsibilities:
  • Carry out full global strategic sourcing activities to gain commercial advantage.
  • Assemble cross functional teams and consult with internal stakeholders to agree sourcing options for any specific category of purchase
  • Evaluate market factors that influence the supply market that assist in the development of appropriate sourcing plans that improves commercial leverage
  • Demonstrate effective behavioural and technical skills across the organisation, with suppliers and other stakeholders for effective category management
  • Draft bespoke terms to apply outside of established frameworks and contract forms
  • Undertake a strategic assessment of key suppliers using modelling and techniques of analysis
  • Assess the sourcing options for supplies of products or services establishing the capability of suppliers and the supply chain
  • Complete regular reports based upon progress of activities
The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and personal qualities:
  • Mechanical and electrical spend category experience preferred
  • Strong communication and cost negotiation skills
  • Ability to carry out full strategic tendering activities within challenging deadlines
  • Customer focused - both internal and external, working in partnership with stakeholders to harness their expertise and understand the business and customer needs.
  • Computer literate - Skilled in using MS Excel to modify, analyse and display data
  • Experience of the Hard FM industry
  • Experience in a category management role at this level is essential
  • Full driving licence - the role does involve business travel
  • MCIPS Qualification or equivalent desirable but not essential
