Job Description:

Propulsion Technician RAF Maham - Norfolk Full time, 40 hours, 6 month Fixed Term Contract £27,332.07 Purpose of role: Short Term Contract of 6 months for The Rolls-Royce ROCET 2 availability contract ensures provision of serviceable RB199 engines and accessories to the RAF Tornado GR4 Fleet. The Rolls-Royce SDC is located at RAF Marham to provide a forward/depth interface delivery service and on wing support. This role is for RB199 Aero Engine Technicians at the Rolls-Royce SDC, duties and responsibilities are outlined below. Main duties:
  • Work and comply with Regulatory, Safety and Organisational Requirements within the Deployed Environment
  • Carry out inspection of RB199 Gas Turbine Engine and components
  • Maintain RB199 Gas Turbine Engine and components
  • Use Engineering Data and supporting documentation
  • Deliver ROCET 2 customer service to ML1 & 2
  • On Aircraft LRU and component replacement
  • Any other tasks as detailed by Serco RR Departmental Manager or Rolls Royce FSR Team
Skills, knowledge and qualifications: Essential:
  • RB199 engine or Tornado Propulsion Q qualifications
  • Aero engine training/qualification with aircraft maintenance experience within an operational environment
  • Ability to work competently in a changeable environment and meeting deadlines
  • To work a shift pattern including a nightshift
  • Experience of work within a lean environment
