Job Description:

We are looking for Care Assistants who are able to provide support to elderly residents; many of whom suffer dementia or mild mental health issues. The residential homes are set in fantastic settings, close to public transport links.

You must be an experienced care assistant or care worker, or support worker who is happy to deliver personal care, alongside a range of duties such as assisting with preparing meals, laundry, light household tasks, accompanying in the community on appointments and general daily activities. It is preferable that you have experience of working with elderly residents and it is beneficial if you have a good understanding of dementia care.

Personal care will be required so please do not apply if you are not prepared to undertake personal care, to include washing and dressing.

If you are an experienced care worker / care assistant / support worker and enjoy supporting elderly clients with dementia, mild to moderate mental health and have a person centred approach to your care work, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements:
* MUST have an NVQ Level 2 or similar in Health & Social Care OR Children & Young People
* Have a good level of English (written & verbal)
* MUST be happy to provide personal care
* MUST be flexible and able to work a shift pattern
* MUST hold a DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for a new one

If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly. You must be able to provide 5 years' references and either have all mandatory training in date, or be prepared to complete this prior to starting your assignment.
