Job Description:

My client are a large engineering company working with energy companies across the UK. They service some of the largest energy companies in the country and have several hundred employees from Scotland to Plymouth.

They are currently looking for an IT Support Technician to join their head office team on a temporary basis. this role would suit an experienced Technician who works on a contract basis and has experience working to support networks, systems and ICT infastructure.

You will be responsible for supporting several teams across the office, giving level 1 incident support. You will need to set internal policies, procedures and standards and ensure these are complied with. You will also provide support for any engineers with issues when they are in the office. You will assist the office via email and phone communicate and when required assist with face to face issues.

·Ability to work as a team
·High level written and verbal skills
·Ability to prioritise tasks and manage work load
·An IT qualification is desirable

Key responsibilities:

·Install new IT software and configure new equipment - inc. new starter computers
·Diagnose issues with computer software, hardware and external systems inc. handhelds
·Resolve any upgrade issues
·Assist with any internal log in issues staff may have & issues logging into external programmes
