HPC Systems Developer (High Performance Computing)

Hays are delighted to be working with one of our educational clients based in Norwich who are looking to revolutionise the organisations ITCS department. Set within the ITCS team and reporting to the Head of Research and Specialist Computing you will work in a cohesive function managing the High Performance (HPC) resources for your new organisation. The HPC Resources are used by many researchers across the organisation including many non-traditional HPC disciplines.
Your new role
This particular role overs great development opportunities opposed to maintenance; you'd help to deliver and lead projects on a wide array of systems and upgrades including hardware, operating systems, applications and tools, fault resolution, support, back up and security.
You will work hands on in the selection and procurement of new systems, systems design, configuration, testing, migration and training.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a driven HPC professional who has had strong exposure to Linux/Unix administration and development including servers and networking, experience in Unix shell scripting such as Bash/TCSH and or Python/Perl.
