Senior Yield Engineer





Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Yield Engineer to join our clients expanding technical team and fab facility.

Working as part of the fab engineering and technical operations team within our client's brand-new world-class cleanroom and lab areas you will initiate, drive, and manage yield improvement projects to meet new device requirements for future technology.

As the Senior Yield Engineer your key responsibilities will include:

Prevent yield excursions and quickly identify issues by establishing systems and procedures
Support advanced technology development by implementing effective inline defect inspection/monitoring/control strategy & methodology
Create and drive process improvement plans to meet quality and yield targets
Evaluate defect inspection/review effectiveness from leading tools for advanced technology introduction.
Collaborate with design engineering, process engineering and/or package engineering to improve the product reliability.
Design, execute and analyse partition studies
Maintain statistical process control (SPC) charts

To be successful in this role you will be degree educated and with a minimum of 5-years Fab experience in process engineering/process development/yield improvement.

It is essential that you have previous experience in defect metrology tools/analysis, SPC processes, and a dexterity for handling InP wafers and samples.

Experience in setting up successful design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis is desirable along with having a PhD in relevant subjects.

Location: Suffolk, East Anglia, England
Salary: £50,000 per annum
