Finance Assistant

Thetford, Norfolk

Part time / Permanent

25-30 hours per week over 4/5 days (5 days preferred)

£19,000 per annum, pro rata

Due to company growth our Client is seeking a part time Finance Assistant to join their team in Thetford, Norfolk.

Key Tasks

Credit control duties
Input purchase invoices
Process the daily banking
Maintaining consistent communications to customers and suppliers through remittances and statements
Preparing supplier payment runs in order for the Finance Manager to process
Maintenance of data within the system
Help to oversee and manage customer and supplier accounts
Be the first point of contact for finance queries, with the support of the Finance Manager
Monitoring the accounts email inbox
Control and maintain the petty cash
Assist throughout the year end audit process by gathering data
Assist the Finance Manager throughout the impending project of implementing a new system
Assisting the UK Finance Manager with administration and adhoc business requirements
Interfacing with counterparts at all levels of the business to ensure the timely supply and receipt of various information
Adhoc requirements as needed

Skills and Experience required

Previous accounts experience
An AAT background would be preferential, but not required if you have relevant experience
Be fully proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel skills
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
Professional attitude
Understand the importance of confidentiality with certain data
Able to effectively prioritise
Strong organisational skills
An excellent communicator
A good team player
