Choice Teachers have brand new opportunities available for experienced learning support practitioners to take on a number of transition and reintegration roles across Suffolk.
We are working closely with a multi academy trust looking for motivated professionals that would be able to support pupils to settle into a new learning environments. The roles are due to begin in September 2018 for a one year fixed contract.
Key responsibilities & Requirements . . .
To attend and sometimes lead on planning and admission meetings to contribute to the development of reintegration plans for pupils leaving West Suffolk PRUs returning to mainstream schools.
Attend planning meetings and contribute to the development of attendance and behaviour plans for pupils in mainstream schools.
Meet with parents and school staff as required in order to provide them with feedback and advice about progress and to gain their views.
Support students who have emotional or behavioural difficulties in school setting or in an A/P provider to access the curriculum and implement targeted interventions as agreed.
Manage own time and any other resources associated with these duties with due regard for efficiency, economy and effectiveness.
Use resources appropriately in order to support pupil progress effectively.
Suitable Candidates will . . .
Have some experience working closely with young people that have behavioural difficulties
Have the ability to organise their own workload
Be able to build new working relationships pupils, parents and colleagues
Be willing to adapt to various situations
Be approachable and friendly
