Job Description:

Seven Lincs are recruiting a Finance Manager to join an established and experienced Accounts team in our Felixstowe office. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will have a wide ranging remit across financial and management accounting as well as good knowledge and experience of managing and developing a team.

Main Purpose of the Role
To produce accurate and timely financial information to a) support and inform the day to day management of the Seven Lincs business and b) to meet legal/statutory financial requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Control of the Accounting Functions to include:
- Production of weekly, quarterly and annual financial information
- Production of budgets and forecasts as required
- Control and development of Access Accounting System
- Oversee audit visits
- Management and processing of the weekly and monthly payroll

Management:
- Management of the day to day running of the department
- Provide financial information to the Directors as required
- Work with the Group Financial Controller on more general finance issues
- Where required, the successful candidate will undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are commensurate with the role

Qualifications and Experience
- ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent (desirable)
- Relevant qualifying experience
- Relevant team management experience
- Payroll experience
- Previous experience within the transport industry is desirable but not essential

Skills and Personal Attributes
- Extensive financial management experience
- Comprehensive technical accounting knowledge
- Proven ability to review and improve business processes and systems
- Keen analytical ability
- Excellent computer skills, using Accounting systems and Excel
- Dynamic and proactive individual
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage a team of staff
- Excellent team player

As the role is based in a prestigious location on Felixstowe dock, a full driving license is preferable as public transport to the area is limited. Parking is available on site.
